Since not everyone had the chance to make it to our 10th Anniversary in Munich earlier this year, we decided to hold another decennial in our backyard and invited partners, friends and family to join us for a delicious barbeque in Friedrichshain.

At this point, we are very thankful for all the help that we received. Without the support of mothers, girlfriends and friends things would not have gone so smoothly and tasty! Furthermore special thanks to Veltins, Held Vodka and Fritz Kola for supplying us with enough beverages.

Finally the 13th Bright tradeshow has come to an end and the whole team is happy about the positive feedback we received for our new designs, that will be available in spring & summer 2012. Get a small insight in the gallery below.

Pablo x Ucon Acrobatics – A mythical collaboration

For the coming fall & winter 2011/2012 collection we hooked up with Madrid based graphic designer Pablo Abad for the next collaboration on the ‘Artist Feature’. Streetwear Today is featuring three of our upcoming artist tees in their latest issue #37 and also an interview with Pablo Abad where he talks about his past, present and future projects. You could consider Digital in Berlin basically as a wide network for cutting edge music, movies and art enthusiasts with the ambition to report on the most breathtaking city in Europe as they say, but this collective of forward-thinking and creative men of action are to versatile to be categorized.

Since our identification with their work is really intense, we decided to co-op with this group of great people. From now on Ucon is going to support the monthly ,Music Salon‘ which takes place @ The Kiss Kiss Ballroom, a top floor loft above Mauerpark. You can expect serious forms of quality music from electronic/experimental musicians to folk & singer-songwriters, classical minimalists and drone composers. Due to this special occasion we didn’t hesitated long and rolled out the red carpet at Crux club in Munich to welcome our family and friends. Not only because of the launch of our ‘Spring & Summer 2011‘ collection, but also since it was 10 years ago when Ucon was founded. Besides we had a belated birthday celebration for Jochen’s 30th in an narrow circle of friends and family members. So there were plenty reasons to make this a remembering night.
